Singapore Sustainable Aviation Fuel Company Ltd. (SAFCo) Achieves ISCC CORSIA Certification and Collaborating with ISCC to Advance SAF Environmental Attribute Management

Singapore, 25 June 2026

The Singapore Sustainable Aviation Fuel Company Ltd. (SAFCo) today announced that it has been certified under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) scheme as a Trader, effective 10 June 2026.

In conjunction with this milestone, ISCC is also collaborating with SAFCo to support the operationalisation of best practices for the management of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Environmental Attributes (EAs).

Strengthening Credibility and Integrity in SAF Markets

The ISCC CORSIA certification reinforces SAFCo’s commitment to establishing a credible, transparent and internationally aligned SAF ecosystem in Singapore. As an ISCC Trader, SAFCo operates as an entity that facilitates the buying and selling of SAF and its associated environmental attributes without physically handling or storing them, while maintaining robust traceability and compliance with sustainability standards.

ISCC is a globally applicable and leading certification system designed to enhance traceable, sustainable, deforestation-free, and climate-friendly supply chains. The ISCC CORSIA standard, recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 2020, demonstrates compliance with CORSIA’s sustainability and traceability criteria for SAF.

With this certification, SAFCo is well positioned to support the centralised procurement and allocation of SAF and SAF EA, consistent with Singapore’s national SAF policy and the ICAO CORSIA framework.

Advancing Best Practices for SAF Environmental Attribute Management

SAFCo is collaborating closely with ISCC to strengthen the design and implementation of its SAF Environmental Attribute (EA) management framework.

This collaboration will focus on:

  • – Developing robust and internationally aligned EA accounting and chain-of-custody frameworks
  • – Enhancing credibility, transparency, and environmental integrity in SAF EA claims and reporting
  • – Supporting the development of credible chain-of-custody approaches

This joint effort reflects global efforts to scale SAF adoption through credible certification standards and established accounting frameworks, supported by partnerships across the aviation value chain.

Supporting Singapore’s National SAF Policy Implementation

Established by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), SAFCo plays a central role in operationalising Singapore’s SAF policy through:

  • – Centralised procurement of SAF
  • – Aggregation of policy driven and voluntary SAF demand
  • – Management of SAF EA

This approach is designed to build a scalable and integrated SAF ecosystem, supporting Singapore’s goal to increase SAF adoption for flights departing Singapore while ensuring cost efficiency and environmental credibility.

The ISCC certification and partnership further strengthen SAFCo’s ability to deliver on these functions and to anchor Singapore’s role as a global hub for SAF demand and market innovation.

Ms Tan Seow Hui, Chief Executive Officer of SAFCo, said:

“Achieving ISCC CORSIA certification is an important milestone for SAFCo as we operationalise Singapore’s SAF framework. It underscores our commitment to building a credible and transparent system that meets international standards and CORSIA framework.

Our partnership with ISCC will enable us to implement robust best practices for SAF Environmental Attribute and Sustainability Documentations management, to support credible emissions reductions across the global aviation ecosystem.”

Quote from ISCC

Mr. Adam Kirby, Lead – Aviation & Maritime at ISCC, said:

“Scaling SAF requires not only production and demand, but also trust in the certification systems that underpin sustainability credentials, including how they are verified and tracked. Through our collaboration with SAFCo, we aim to bring our expertise in certification, traceability, and chain of custody to support the development of credible and scalable SAF frameworks.”
